The iconic St Paul’s Church in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter has received a major boost in our ongoing “Raise the Roof” campaign, thanks to the public support of West Midlands Mayor Richard Parker. Pictured with Rev’d David Tomlinson in St Paul’s Square, the Mayor’s endorsement underscores the regional significance of preserving this treasured architectural and community landmark.
The “Raise the Roof” campaign was launched to fund essential repairs to the church’s historic roof, which has suffered from weathering and age. As a Grade I-listed building surrounded by some of the last remaining Georgian houses in Birmingham, St Paul’s is not only an active place of worship but also a focal point for concerts, cultural events, and community gatherings.
The campaign has gained momentum in recent months with increasing public engagement, and the Mayor’s backing is expected to drive further awareness and contributions. The church aims to raise sufficient funds not just to repair the roof, but also to enhance the venue’s role as a hub for arts, music, and heritage.
For those inspired to help, donations can be made through the official campaign page or directly at the church. Every pound raised brings the church closer to safeguarding its legacy for generations to come.
