Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you find the information you’re looking for and feel inspired by the work we do at St. Paul’s.
If you would like to support the church financially, we warmly welcome your donation. In particular, we are fundraising to save the church from catastrophic water damage by replacing the roof. So far we have raised £180,000, and are making grant applications, but we urgently need to press on towards our total of £660,000.
If you like to contribute to the weekly costs of running the church or to the Raise the Roof campaign, you can click the donation button below.
Should you have any questions or wish to make contact for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact us at enquiries@stpaulsjq.church.
We would be pleased to help.
– David Tomlinson, Vicar
Visit us
We are open 11am to 2pm on weekdays for visits and prayers.
We have volunteers some days who give guided tours, or alternatively, pick up a welcome leaflet from the desk on your way in and read about the historical story of St Paul’s JQ and the many beautiful things to look at inside.
Please note the church will be closed Tuesday 15th July, Friday 18th July and Friday 25th July. There will be an evening Organ concert by Darren Hogg for Raise the Roof at 7.30pm on the 25th.
The church will also be closed Monday 28th July, Friday 8th August, Friday 15th August and Friday 22nd August.
Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. Bring your friends, family, and
neighbours for a day of summer celebration while supporting a vital part of our
community.
The fete is also supported by a very popular annual raffle, with the winning tickets
drawn at 4.30pm on the day of the fete. This year’s prizes include:
* A 2-night stay in a fisherman’s cottage in St Ives
* Food and drink for two people at Hockley Social Club
* A meal for two people at Otto’s Pizzas
* Bottle of Champagne
* Hair appointment at Hazel & Haydn.
Raffle tickets can be bought before the fete at the church, at Hazel & Haydn and at
RBSA’s Gallery, at £2 a ticket. Tickets will be on sale during the fete on 16th August as well.
Join Us for Public Worship: St. Paul’s warmly invites you to attend our Public Worship services every Sunday at 10:30 am. The service lasts just over an hour, and is characterised by spoken prayers, stillness, Bible readings, music and singing, and an invitation to receive bread and wine, or a prayer of blessing. Afterwards, you can linger for light refreshments and to connect with others who are there.
Come to pray or to reflect: For those seeking a quiet moment of reflection or to pray, the church is open for individual private prayer from 11-2 pm Monday to Friday.
Enjoy the beauty and history of this iconic church: you can do a self-guided tour of the church using the guides or ask for a guided tour if one of our volunteers is available.
Weekly Midday Prayer: Midday Prayer meetings every Monday and Wednesday at 12:30 am which lasts 15 minutes or so. This is when the prayer requests left in the prayer chapel are prayed..
Online Worship Service: If accessing the church building is challenging for you, we extend a warm invitation to join our Sunday worship service online at 10:30 AM via Zoom. To join, please email onlineservices@stpaulsjq.church, and we will guide you on how to connect with us digitally.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out at enquiries@stpaulsjq.church
