WEDDINGS

Set in a beautiful Georgian square, St Paul’s is an excellent venue for weddings, blessings and the renewal of wedding vows. There is also a good selection of local bars and restaurants for post-service celebrations, and our gallery can be booked in conjunction with a service booking for refreshments etc.

To be married in St Paul’s Church, you have to have one of the qualifying connections listed below:

  • Usual place of residence in the parish for at least 15 days immediately before the grant of the licence.
  • On the Church Electoral Roll.
  • Usual place of residence in the parish for at least 6 months at any time in the past.
  • Habitual attendance at Church of England services in the parish for at least 6 months at any time in the past.
  • Baptised in the parish by a Church of England form of baptism.
  • Confirmed at a Church of England service and details of confirmation entered in confirmation register belonging to a Church or Chapel in the parish.
  • A parent was married in the parish by a Church of England service.
  • A parent has had his or her usual place of residence in the parish for at least 6 months during the lifetime of one of the persons named above.
  • Habitual attendance by a parent at Church of England services in the parish for at least 6 months during the lifetime of one of the persons named above.
  • A grandparent was married in the parish by a Church of England service.
